How it works

Onboarded in a week. Closed every month.

The engagement runs on two rhythms: a five-day onboarding that gets you from first call to scheduled close, and a monthly cycle that ends with a comprehensive report on your accounts.

Week one

From first call to first close, in five business days

You'll know exactly where things stand on each day — and nothing moves without your approval.

  • Day 1 — A 30-minute discovery call on your current setup
  • Day 2 — A written proposal: fixed fee, full scope, named exclusions
  • Day 3 — Advisor access to Xero and bank feeds, granted by you
  • Days 3–4 — We review your ledger and list what we found
  • Day 5 — Your accountant introduces themselves; your first close is scheduled

Every month after

The monthly close

The same cycle every month. If anything threatens the close — a missing statement, an unanswered approval — you hear about it early, not after the fact.

  • Bank, card and clearing accounts reconciled to the cent
  • Bills, invoices, payroll journals and accruals coded
  • A second accountant reviews the file before anything is sent
  • The full review and its summary are prepared
  • The period locks and the report reaches your inbox

The deliverable

A comprehensive monthly report

Every month closes with a full review of your accounts. The summary page is shown here with example data.

The report is a complete review of the month: every account reconciled, every statement prepared, anything unusual investigated and explained. It opens with a summary in sentences rather than ratios, and one figure gets the headline treatment — usually net profit or cash at bank.

Behind it sit the full statements: profit and loss, balance sheet, aged receivables and payables, and a note on anything unusual we found while reconciling. Every figure cites its source system and close date.

Tools, access and security

Your data stays yours

Clients entrust us with financial records. This is precisely how access and security work, in plain language.

Your Xero, your data

We work in your Xero subscription as an invited advisor. Cancel the engagement and every record stays with you.

Bank feeds, never bank logins

We read transactions through Xero's bank feeds. We never hold banking credentials, and payments always need your approval.

Controlled access

Least-privilege access per team member, multi-factor authentication on every system, revoked the day a role changes.

Confidentiality in writing

Every engagement includes a confidentiality agreement, and every team member is bound by one too.

See it on your own books.

The discovery call covers your current setup, the gaps we can see, and what fixing them costs.
